Application Statuses

After you have applied to High School Summer College, your application status will change as you progress through the application process. Here are the definitions of the different application statuses that you may encounter.

Your application status appears next to the application's name in the applicant portal


Your application has not been completed and will not be reviewed until additional action is taken. Please confirm that the student portion is completely submitted, and your parent/guardian has submitted the application fee through the separate Parent/Guardian Portal.


The student and parent/guardian portion of the application have been completed. NOTE: Your application will appear as submitted even if we have not received your letter of recommendation. Please check to see if the recommender portion appears as "Completed." If not, please follow up with your recommender.


Your submitted application documents have been verified by our office and your application will now be sent to our admissions committee. Please be patient, as the decision process can take 3-4 weeks. 

Not Admitted

We are unable to offer you admission into High School Summer College. Please understand that we have received exponential growth in applications over the years, so our program has grown increasingly more selective.


You have been offered admission into our program. Students have three weeks from their offer date to accept the offer of admission, complete the acceptance checklist items, and have their parent/guardian (Relationship #1) complete the parent/guardian acceptance checklist and submit the program fee from the separate Parent/Guardian Portal. NOTE: Your admission and acceptance has not been confirmed by our office, and your spot in the program is not yet secured. Please refer to the Confirmed status.

Acceptance Materials Submitted

Your acceptance documents have been verified by our office and we have received your program fee. You do not need to take any further action at this time. Our office does not recommend making any travel arrangements until you are in the confirmed status and have received a Stanford ID.


Your acceptance has been confirmed and your spot in our program is secure. You have been issued a Stanford ID and instruction on how to access Stanford's Axess system.
